I provide general urological services for men and women and frequently see patients with trouble passing water, recurrent urinary infections, foreskin problems, concerns about swellings in the scrotum, blood in the urine, PSA queries and other urological problems.
In addition to this, I have a specialist interest in complex kidney stone disease, including all aspects of stone management including diagnostics, shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), ureteroscopy, flexible ureterorenoscopy + laser stone fragmentation, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, metabolic assessment and treatment and follow-up.
Please note that while outpatient assessment and diagnostics are carried out at Spire Liverpool hospital, I carry out some treatments at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital which houses the Mersey Regional Lithotripsy Unit.
I graduated from the University of Cambridge Medical School and trained in the Cambridge, Nottingham and the large kidney stone unit in Norwich. I carried out postgraduate research in London and have an on-going clinical research interest in kidney stone disease. I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Liverpool in 2008.
