Mr Yin graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University (FMMU) in China and quilified in 1984. He was appointed Clinical Lecturer in 1988 and Associate Professor in 1994 at Orthopaedic Institute of FMMU after award of Ph.D in Orthopaedics. This Institution is one of the most renowned, largest and busiest Orthopaedic Centre in China. Mr Yin went to Queen Mary Hospital, University Hong Kong for his orthopaedic fellowship and was regarded as one of the best trainees by the President of Hong Kong Medical Association.
Mr Yin came to Liverpool in 1996 working as Clinical Research Fellow and subsequently was appointed as Orthopaedic Clinical Lecturer/Honoary Senior Specialist Registrar in 1998. After completing his combined orthopaedic training in mainland China, Hong Kong and Liverpool, Mr Yin was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital with a specialist interest in shoulder and elbow, bone and soft tissue sarcoma and peripheral nerve surgery.
Mr Yin has been working as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and also working as the sarcoma Lead Clinician in Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network for more than 10 years. His clinical practice encompasses all aspects of shoulder/elbow disorders, bone and soft tissue tumours and peripheral nerve injuries. Mr Yin is regarded by his colleagues as a talented, valued and first rate Orthopaedic Surgeon with exceptional technical/operative skills and he has been invited by his Consultant colleagues to join the complex operations on many occasions. Mr Yin has been actively involved in research and teaching, he has published more than 40 articles in the peer reviewed journals and has more than 50 presentations as a speaker nationally and internationally.
