For the first time, Spire Liverpool Hospital organised a seven-a-side football match, staff versus consultants. The aim of the event was to raise money for a charity "Zoe's Place Baby Hospice" and to develop a hospital football team that would be willing to start a Spire Healthcare hospital's football challenge!
Thank you to everyone who turned up to the charity football match.
Well done to the winners ‘THE CONSULTANTS’ and also well done to the Valiant losers
‘THE STAFF’ who made it such a good game.
Olly Gurrin, who was captain of the staff side, said, "Yes I am disappointed we lost but it was a great effort and a really close fought game, well done all".
Special thanks go to Chloe Parr and Jenny Pearson for their efforts in organising the event. Thanks to Elaine who made cakes for everyone. Thanks to Karl who refereed the match.
Not forgetting the Bone and Joint Centre who kindly sponsored the match kit – many thanks.
I’m sure it won’t be too long before another event is organised so ‘GET TRAINING’!!!
Total funds raised: £170
