Staff form Spire Liverpool Hospital and residents from the Formby area celebrated the launch of the new Spire Formby Clinic which officially opened its doors on 28 May. The launch party which was held at Sorrento Restaurant was attended by local dignitaries and personalities including John Parrott who kindly agreed to cut the ribbon for us.
John Parrott was very charming and funny and got quite a few laughs from our guests as he cut the ribbon. Business Development Manager Janine Melia said ‘we have had a great turnout this evening we couldn’t have asked for more, we have worked very hard on this project so it’s great to see it finally come to fruition’.
Hospital Director Alison Peake said: “At Spire Liverpool Hospital we continue to aim to be the number one choice for patients and GP’s in the Northwest. As a result of my teams’ hard work over the past couple of years the hospital is expanding and the launch of the Formby Clinic is just the first step in this expansion which is aimed at giving local people easier access to the range of treatments we offer.”
However it was business as usual for the staff who work at the clinic as it is already very busy. Patients can have both private and NHS consultations and follow up outpatient appointments for a range of specialities including cosmetic surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, dermatology, sports medicine, gynaecology, general surgery and some alternative therapies.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. To book an appointment call 01704 835920.
