Spire Liverpool has joined sister hospitals Spire Cheshire and Spire Manchester to complete the North-West triangle of Spire imaging centres with PACSMail connections.
Spire Liverpool Hospital, previously known as Lourdes Hospital, has recently installed a PACSMail connection, which will be used for both local and national communication of patient scans. The PACSMail link will enable the hospital's imaging department to provide on-line copies of scans and reports to referring clinicians and will also be used for communication of scans for remote expert review.
Spire Liverpool is ideally situated for patient referrals from the Merseyside and the Northwest region. The hospital's Bone and Joint Centre covers all aspects of orthopaedic surgery including carpel tunnel, cruciate ligament repair, foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee replacement, spinal and shoulder injury. The Bone and Joint Centre is also supported by Spire Liverpool Hospital’s physiotherapy and sports injury department. The physiotherapy team offers a dynamic service specialising in musculo-skeletal conditions, and devising and implementing orthopaedic rehabilitation programmes.
