Your consultations

Once you’ve made an enquiry, we can quickly arrange for you to meet one of our team of experienced cosmetic surgeons. You’ll usually be offered an appointment within a few days.

During your consultations you’ll have the chance to talk about the type of breast augmentation surgery you’d like, as well as the range of implants we can provide. Your consultant will ask you about your medical history and, prior to surgery, you’ll have a pre-operative assessment with our clinical nurse specialist.

Before undergoing any surgical treatment please ensure you have quit smoking. There are numerous risks associated with smoking and undergoing a procedure, including longer recovery times, wounds taking longer to heal and increased risk of infection. Giving up smoking a few weeks or months before your operation is extremely beneficial and it can make a big difference.

During your consultations, you’ll be able to discuss:

  • Other alternatives to breast surgery that might be a better option, such as breast uplift or fat transfer
  • What’s involved when you have surgery
  • The kind of anaesthetic you’ll have
  • Possible risks or complications
  • Any tests that need to be carried out before your procedure

Your consultant will be able to answer any questions you may have about your surgery and its results, but there’s no pressure to make a decision. Even if you feel certain about what you want to do next, you’ll have plenty of time to change your mind after your appointment during the cooling-off period.

Breast enlargement surgery: your procedure

You may be able to go home on the same day as your operation. If you do need to stay overnight, you'll have one of our en-suite private rooms. All of our rooms have the comforts and conveniences you’d expect at home, including:

  • TV
  • En-suite
  • Window
  • Armchair
  • Telephone
  • Patient information booklet

Your consultant will explain to you beforehand how long you’re likely to stay and whether you need to bring anything.

Here’s what will happen after you arrive for your breast enlargement surgery:

  • You’ll meet your surgery team and anaesthetist
  • You’ll be given a general anaesthetic so you’ll be asleep for the operation
  • Once it’s taken effect, your surgeon will make an incision then carry out the operation to insert your new breast implants
  • Your operation will take around 60–90 minutes

If you’ve come with a friend or family member, they’re welcome to wait in our coffee lounge and restaurant while you have your operation.
