I have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist for over 20 years and am an expert in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery. Prior to taking up my consultant post, I carried out Fellowships with world-renowned experts in cosmetic and oculoplastic surgery, first in Southampton and Salisbury Hospitals, and then at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

I specialise in oculoplastic surgery with specific interests in cosmetic surgery (including Blepharoplasty), eyelid malposition (ptosis, entropion, ectropion), Lacrimal (watery eye) disorders, periocular tumour excision and reconstruction, thyroid eye disease, orbital tumours and socket surgery (including evisceration and orbital implants).

In my NHS and private practice, I have at least two operating lists per week, during which I operate on Oculoplastic/Orbital and lacrimal surgical cases. Additionally, I have regular cataract surgery operating lists. Audits of my practice reveal high success rates and low complication rates of surgery.

I have been Clinical Lead for Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC) for many years. I chair the departmental Medical Advisory Committee at BMEC.

I have a strong training record in both oculoplastic surgery and cataract surgery.

I am also a senior examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

I am currently president elect of the Midland Oculoplastic Surgeons Society.
