I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1999 and have been a consultant cardiologist at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust since December 2010. I trained in the West Midlands cardiology training programme and completed my MD thesis on the effect of heart rate in cardiovascular disease in 2009. I carried out further specialist training at the University Hospital North Staffordshire in cardiac implantable devices and cardiac rhythm management. I've published many scientific papers and book chapters in various subjects within the field of cardiology and presented my research at both national and international conferences.

In addition to providing a general cardiology service I also offer specialist treatment to patients with heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias (particularly atrial fibrillation) and syncope (faints/blackouts). I run a successful syncope/blackout clinic in the NHS where patients who have been suffering from these debilitating symptoms can seek advice, diagnosis and treatment. I also offer a cardiac screening package for patients who are concerned about their heart to assess for potentially high risk cardiac conditions.

I work in close collaboration with the cancer specialists at Spire Little Aston and arrange regular cardiac assessments for patients undergoing chemotherapy including regular echocardiograms to monitor heart function during chemotherapy.

I am a recognised specialist with all of the major private health insurance companies.
