Staff at Spire Little Aston Hospital take a break to catch up with the sharp and witty observations of popular film critic, broadcaster and writer Mark Kermode.
Mark’s new book, The Good, The Bad And The Multiplex, is the choice for this year’s Lichfield Festival Big Read, and free copies of the book are now available around Lichfield, and at the hospital, to be picked up, read and passed on.
The Good, The Bad And The Multiplex is outspoken, opinionated and hilariously funny, and will appeal to all enthusiastic cinema-goers. Mark himself will be appearing at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre on Monday 9 July to speak about the book and answer readers’ questions.
Ruth Paulin, Hospital Director at Spire Little Aston, the Big Read’s sponsor, said: “We are delighted to be involved in supporting this innovative project. As the local private hospital providing services to local people we welcome the opportunity to be involved in community events like this.”
Tickets for Mark Kermode’s talk can be booked at www.lichfieldfestival.org or on 01543 412121.
The 2012 Lichfield Festival runs from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 15 July and packs over 100 events in to those 12 days.
