Spire Little Aston Hospital were pleased to be main sponsors of the Second City 45th Charity Golf Classic held on the Wednesday 13th July 2011 at Little Aston Golf Club, Sutton Coldfield in aid of The Norman Laud Association and Arthritis Research Campaign.
The Second City 45th Charity Golf Classic is considered to be one of the most prestigious charity golf event in the Midlands and had 32 teams competing this year.
Spire Little Aston entered five teams this year which were made up of a mixture of Consultants, GPs and a professional golfer. All of our teams had a fantastic day and last years winners "The Three Spires" came in at number 4 which is a fantastic effort.
Events like this help with Spire Little Aston's aim of working with the local community and businesses whenever possible. On the day we had various members of staff from the hospital helping out in our marquee, our nurses were on hand to give blood pressure tests and our physiotherapy department were offering to help the golfers with any aches and pains they were suffering from and last but not least our staff were offering the golfers a refreshing glass of Pimms after they had finished an exhausting round of golf.
