Spire Leicester Hospital Travel Clinic

Whether you're going on a grand adventure, the trip of a lifetime, working abroad or just off for two weeks of much-needed sunshine, rest and relaxation, we can help.

We’ll help make preparing for your journey as easy as possible

Depending on where you go, you may need to have vaccinations before you travel and with so much to organise for your journey, sometimes it's easy to overlook getting vaccinated.

At our Travel Clinic we’ll help make preparing for your journey as easy as possible, and provide not just the vaccinations you need but travel advice from our team who have access to the most up to date information on health-related travel news and the current status of disease outbreaks worldwide.

It’s best to book an appointment about six to eight weeks before you go, however, if you’ve left it a bit late and there are less than six to eight weeks before you plan to travel, please contact us on 0116 265 3021 - it may still be possible to get your vaccinations.

Please complete the contact form at the top of this page or call our private treatment advisors on 0116 265 3021.

What happens next?
Prior to your appointment at our Travel Clinic, we’ll send you a form to complete and return, from which we will assess the travel risks associated with your destination and will identify any vaccines and medicines you will need .

How are vaccinations administered?
If you need to have a course of vaccinations, this can be done at different times over a number of weeks. The time between injections will allow your body to respond to the vaccine, so you develop immunity ready for when you arrive. Generally you will have vaccine injections in your upper arm or on the outside of your upper thigh.

You’re unlikely to need any vaccinations if you’re going to the United States, Western Europe and most parts of Australia or New Zealand, but it’s important to make sure that your booster immunisations for tetanus, diphtheria and polio are up to date.

What do we charge?

  • We charge only for any vaccination/malarial tablet/product that you require.
