Jane Calow works with patients who have had weight–loss (bariatric) surgery at Spire Hospital Leicester. Jane visits people in hospital after surgery and provides outpatient appointments and telephone or email contacts as required. Jane also supplies detailed dietary information. Jane Calow's aim is to help patients lose weight and keep the weight off long term, by encouraging them to follow a healthy diet and to develop practical skills for long-term weight management.Jane studied Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University and has 26 years experience as a Registered Dietitian. She has specialised in Mental Health for 20 years and in Bariatric Surgery for 10 years. Jane was awarded an MSc with Distinction in Weight Management in 2010 and is currently studying for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Understanding and Changing Behaviour.Jane Calow works exclusively with people who are considering or who have had bariatric surgery.
Jane Calow is married with 2 children. The family are all musical and Jane has played the clarinet for 40 years. Jane is currently enjoying learning a new instrument, the saxophone, and is working on her Grade 6 at the time of writing.
