I am a foot and ankle surgeon specialising in bunion surgery, correction of failed bunion surgery, Morton’s Neuroma, surgery for arthritis of the foot and ankle, ankle arthroscopy and fusion, ankle replacement surgery, sports injuries to the foot and ankle, ankle instability, ankle ligament repair, tendon disorders around the foot and ankle (Tibialis posterior, Peroneal tendons, Achilles tendon) and Plantar Fasciitis. I also have a special interest in Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) which is a highly effective treatment for tendon-related pain.
I perform over 500 surgical foot and ankle procedures every year.
Following my one year Foot and Ankle surgery Fellowship at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge I was nominated by the European Foot and Ankle Society as travelling fellow of the year 2009, providing me with an excellent opportunity to visit prestigious Foot and Ankle surgery centres in New York, North Carolina and Dallas.
I run education courses for GP's including a course teaching GPs safe techniques for performing musculoskeletal injections in the community.
I am currently a member of the Scientific committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

I am the chief editor of a recently published book ‘An Orthopaedics guide for today's GP’. I have written a chapter on forefoot disorders in the ‘Oxford Textbook of Trauma and Orthopaedics’ and am involved in a number of research projects at University Hospitals of Leicester.
