For more than five years, Dr Mohsin Farooq has been working as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Kettering General Hospital, Kettering, Northamptonshire. He completed his higher medical training in both General Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Leicester Deanery. To further complement his sub-specialist interests, Dr Farooq undertook a period of sub-specialist training at St. Bartholomews’ Hospital, London (complex cardiac device implantation including permanent pacing, ICDs, and biventricular pacing ) and Glenfield Hospital, Leicester ( coronary intervention-angioplasty and stenting).
Dr Farooq is the lead for the 'Heart failure Programe' and the lead for 'Complex cardiac device implantation' at Kettering General Hospital.
Dr Farooq has experience of being an investigator in many clinical trials and has published in peer reviewed journals. Additionally, he has presented at national and international scientific meetings. He is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
