Dr Bone qualified from Manchester university medical school in 1979 and following training in General Medicine, completed her specialised training in anaesthesia in Pain Medicine at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s hospital in London.She gained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1985 and became a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine in 1999.
Her first consultant appointment was in Cheltenham & Gloucester in 1990 and she moved to University Hospitals of Leicester in 1996 where she continued to work in full time pain medicine. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Bone has been involved in the teaching of medical students, undergraduate and post-graduate students including running modules for the MSC in Pain Medicine at Leicester University.
In addition to a full medical assessment, Dr Bone offers the following treatments : medication, physical therapies (including acupuncture) and neural blockade, including nerve block injections, and radio frequency therapy. She also undertakes Qutenza application and Botox injections for migrainous headaches.
