Spire Leicester clinician wins Radiographer of the Year award

Hema Dandiker started working at Spire (BUPA) as a Kitchen Assistant in September 1995. In recent years she has completed her training in Radiography and is now a qualified Radiographer at Spire Leicester Hospital.

Some months ago Hema's team nominated her for the Radiographer of the Year award with the Society of Radiographers. This week the Society announced that she had won the 2011 award for the Midlands region.

The Chief Executive Office of the Society of Radiographers said, "To be recognsied in this way is a tremendous achievement and I am sure that you will agree that this reflects very positively upon not only the individual but the spirit of team working and excellent patient care within your organisation."

Hema will be awarded with a certificate at a ceremony at the House of Commons on 8th November.

Hema says that she is really thrilled to be going to the House of Commons to receive her award.
