New 3/4D pregnancy scan service at Spire Leicester Hospital
Spire Leicester Hospital has teamed up with Medi-Scan to provide a new 3/4D scanning service. This scan will give you understandable images of the baby moving in the womb, showing its face, hands and feet. The baby can be seen opening its mouth, holding onto feet and hands in a three dimensional picture, with time being the fourth dimension. These images will be stored on a DVD for you to be able to look at again with friends and family members, and the baby itself will have a unique reminder of when it was in the womb. The sex of the baby can also be confirmed at this stage.
The scan is performed between 24 and 34 weeks to provide reassurance about your baby's wellbeing. It measures the size of your baby and records the baby's movements and enables you to view a moving 3D image of your baby. You'll receive a DVD containing video images of your scan session, and a DVD of still photo images along with four copy prints.
