Professional profile:

Dr Lee Graham was appointed as a consultant cardiologist at the Yorkshire Heart Centre, Leeds General Infirmary in January 2008. He specialises in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders) and in complex pacing. Dr Graham qualified from Manchester University in 1996 and subsequently undertook specialist cardiology training in Leeds. He obtained a PhD from the University of Leeds in 2004 after a period of research. More recently, Dr Graham has specialised in the field of interventional electrophysiology and spent a fellowship year in Christchurch, New Zealand where he received extensive training in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias before returning to the UK to complete his training.

Dr Graham's specific areas of interest are: palpitations and heart rhythm disorders, radiofrequency ablation procedures, atrial fibrillation ablation, ventricular tachycardia ablation, pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (biventricular pacing) for heart failure.

Personal profile:

Dr Lee Graham has lived in Yorkshire since 1997 and was delighted to be appointed as a Consultant in Leeds in 2008. His interests outside medicine include most sports including running, cycling, football and swimming. His other passions include cooking and foreign travel. He has three children, Will, Jessica and Joseph who take up most of his spare time.
