Dr Dan Blackman graduated from the University of Birmingham then trained in cardiology in Oxford and Toronto. He subspecialises in interventional cardiology and is the highest volume operator in coronary intervention in Leeds. Dr Blackman is leading the Leeds Programme in valvular intervention including percutaneous aortic valve replacement.

Dr Blackman also has a broad interest in all areas of general cardiology including chest pain, palpitation, hypertension and arrhythmias.

Dr Dan Blackman is very happily married with two young children. His major interest outside work is sport in all its forms but rugby is his greatest love.
