Working options
Full time - You must be flexible regarding working hours and shifts. Some weekend and bank holiday working required.
Your responsibilities
The successful applicant will provide nursing care to a diverse range of patients in our Daycare Unit. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high standards of effective clinical care to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will liaise with consultants, nursing, therapy, medical staff and other disciplines to ensure continuity of care. Meanwhile you will monitor and maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records.
What we're looking for
- RGN with NMC registration
- Two years post registration practise. Surgical &/or Endoscopy experience. Evidence of continuous development (maintenance of PREP portfolio)
- Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure
- Good organisational skills and be able to process documentation legibly and efficiently
- The ability to make clinical decisions calmly in a challenging environment
- It is desirable you have experience of recovery of patients from sedation, and/or scrub nurse experience in minor procedures
