Pharmacy

At Spire Healthcare we place particular importance on the safe and effective use of medicines. So, whether you’re a pharmacist, pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant you can be sure that your expertise will be put to full use.

You will have daily contact with consultants and will provide advice on the appropriate use of medicines to all our health and care professionals.

Many of our hospitals provide oncology services, where our pharmacy staff are key to providing chemotherapy services for our patients. In fact five of our hospitals have their own chemotherapy preparation isolator.

Jessica Samuelson
Pharmacy manager
“I joined a Spire Healthcare hospital over 13 years ago as a pharmacist. With a background in NHS hospital pharmacy services and community practice, I was interested to find out how pharmacy in the independent sector compared.
In many ways it’s a mix of both, the clinical atmosphere of a hospital, with lots of direct patient contact. Working closely with all clinical disciplines, consultants and, of courses, patients the job can be challenging, but is equally rewarding.
Spire Healthcare provides me with opportunities to develop both professionally and managerially. Over the years I’ve been involved in training, project management and many new and innovative initiatives.
