You can self-refer to see one of our fertility consultants at any time and don't require a GP referral to seek treatment at IVF Scotland. IVF Scotland also accepts referrals for patients from their private or NHS GP. Your NHS GP will be able to refer you electronically using SCI Gateway; this referral will contain your past medical history and will help inform your infertility consultant at IVF Scotland.
Free nurse mini consultation and tour of facilities
If you are interested in finding out more about IVF Scotland you can register to attend a free mini consultation with an IVF nurse and have a free tour of facilities, however, please note that this is not an initial appointment with a consultant, no diagnosis will be given and you are asked not to bring any patients notes you may have.

Your initial appointment with a consultant
We recommend that if patients have undergone fertility tests, diagnosis or treatment at another assisted conception clinic, they bring a copy of their medical notes to the initial appointment with a consultation to avoid duplication of tests at IVF Scotland and so that our consultants can review your case history in detail.
