"We went through our treatment during the heavy snow around November/December time and it was touch and go whether I would actually get my eggs collected within the timeframe as the snow had closed off the whole road to the hospital on the morning of the egg retrieval. Luckily everyone required for the surgery made it in, some having endured quite horrendous journeys to get there and their determination to make it in that day shows just how dedicated they really are. We were delighted when we heard just before Christmas that it was a positive result and I am now five months into my pregnancy and all’s looking well."

"As a female same-sex couple, when we decided we wanted to try for children we knew for our safety and for the child's wellbeing that we had to find a reputable clinic. But finding one close to home was the problem. We came upon Spire through our GP. They were both local and reputable. Things moved very fast from our first phone call - we finally felt that we were getting somewhere! Our IUI treatment took place in a matter of two months after our first appointment. We were one of the very lucky ones and the treatment worked first time. The staff prepare you for all events and we knew that the chances of success on the first attempt were slim. My partner and I felt safe and happy at all times during the treatment and we will be visiting again when we think it is time to give our little boy a brother or sister!"
