Mr Matteucci graduated from Leeds Medical School in 1997. He pursued his Basic Surgical Training in Yorkshire and London. He began his career in Plastic Surgery in 2001 and has trained in units in London and across Yorkshire. He completed his Specialist Training in 2010 and undertook a prestigious Interface Specialty Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology in 2011.
He has published articles on a wide range of subjects in plastic surgery journals and presented at national and international meetings. His main current areas of research are head and neck and skin cancer management and also in facial palsy. He is extensively involved in training the next generation of plastic surgeons and medical students and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Tutor at the Hull York Medical School.
Mr Matteucci has trained extensively in all aspects of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and appreciates the enormous positive impact that well performed and appropriate cosmetic surgery can have on a patients self esteem and quality of life. He believes that patients must have a comprehensive understanding of the potential benefits and risks of their treatment, and he appreciates that each patient is an individual and works with them to provide a bespoke package of care.
