Spire Hartswood Hospital has recently launched its new range of cardiac investigations.
The new service will enable consultants at the Hospital or the patients GP to refer individuals to have cardiac investigation tests in-house at the Hospital.
The tests available include 24hr and 48hr ECG monitoring, 24hr blood pressure recording, echocardiograms and exercise (stress) ECG testing. CT calcium scoring and CT cardiac angiography are also available at the Hospital.
The service will be provided by a team of cardiac technicians and consultant cardiologists, Dr Javed Akhtar, Dr Honer Kadr and Dr T.W. Koh.
Garry Court, Matron and Head of Clinical Services commented: "Having an in-house service means we can be responsive to consultant and patient needs. It is more convenient for both, as we can run all the investigations in-house. This also allows us to take responsibility for the quality of the service and that is very important to us."
Echocardiograms take place on Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings and blood pressure and ECG monitors can be fitted Monday to Saturday by appointment. Stress tests are available on Saturdays and the Hospital’s resident medical officer is on standby for all stress tests.
