Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood has launched a new laser hair reduction service, offering a permanent solution to unwanted hair. The treatment uses a true laser rather than IPL (intense pulsed light) to achieve maximum hair reduction.
The Cynosure Elite laser uses what the industry describes as ‘gold standard wavelengths’ to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient.
Lead Aesthetic Nurse, Nikki Cambo, has many years’ experience and will provide an initial assessment for each client and then carry out all treatments.
Nikki says: "As a trained nurse, it's great to be able to offer this service within a clean and safe hospital setting. Hair reduction isn't just a cosmetic issue and excess hair can be a side effect of hormonal imbalances, menopause, pregnancy, stress and many others causes. At The Hartswood we have consultants available for onward referrals if necessary and expert advice at our fingertips which is great for me and for the patient."
Emily of Bicknacre, Essex, is a laser hair reduction patient and has been pleased with the outcome of her treatment at The Hartswood.
“I noticed a difference straight away. I have quite fair hair so I was unsure whether the treatment would work for me but it has made a huge difference. I found it less painful than waxing and would happily have it again and again. Nikki was excellent. She explained everything clearly and in a language I could understand. Nikki made me feel completely at ease and I felt comfortable asking her questions.”
The new laser hair reduction service complements other cosmetic surgery and aesthetic treatments available through consultant plastic surgeons at Spire Hartswood Hospital.
