Urodynamics

This is a test for finding out how your bladder, sphincter (the muscle around the neck of your bladder) and the urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body) are working. The test can help find out the cause for bladder problems such as incontinence, or difficulty in passing urine.

Cardiology services

We now offer exercise ECG (Stress test), 24hr blood pressure monitoring, 24hr heart monitoring and echocardiograms to insured and self-pay patients.

Videofluoroscopy

A person may be referred for videofluoroscopy because they have a swallowing difficulty.

Videofluoroscopy is an x-ray, which films the swallow as it happens. Following an assessment, the procedure takes place in the X-ray department and is usually completed in 10 to 15 minutes.

After the problem is identified, information on swallowing ability, advice and exercises to improve swallowing may be given by a speech and language therapist.
