Mr Douglas Whitelaw

Mr Douglas Whitelaw General surgery Consultant, Harpenden, Herts, private hospital specialist.

“Mr Whitelaw completely put me at ease with his calm, professional manner and took the time to explain all aspects of the treatment to me, so I fully understood and felt comfortable.  I really recommend Mr Whitelaw – he has a great and reassuring manner and I felt completely at ease in his care.”

“From the initial consultation, Mr Whitelaw explained everything that would be involved in the procedure, including any risks, and I felt comfortable with him being in charge of my case from then on.  He was most welcoming when I arrived on the day of surgery and through until I was discharged the following day and also on the follow-up appointment four weeks later.”

“I was indeed privileged and fortunate to have Mr Whitelaw as my surgeon.  He was very helpful and reassuring in calming my anxiety, as I am 82 and concerned about anaesthetic at this age.  His expert micro-surgery was amazing and the procedure he carried out, whilst curing key hernia problems, led to very little post-operative pain.  I am indebted to him and his staff for the excellent care and attention I received.”

“Mr Whitelaw is a calm and reassuring presence at all times.  My hernia was carried out expertly and with minimum discomfort.  I am grateful to him and his team.”

“Amazing support before and after from Mr Whitelaw.  This operation has changed my life for the better – for ever.
