Two of our leading Urology Consultants met with local GP’s last week to promote our new service, The Prostate Practice, which is being run in conjunction with Spire Bushey and Cancer Partners UK.
The event was arranged by Cancer Partners UK and allowed both Mr James Adshead and Mr Tim Lane, as well as consultants from Bushey and Elstree Cancer Centre to discuss the full patient journey through The Prostate Practice.
We understand that discovering any symptoms of prostate problems can be a worrying time and fast diagnosis and experienced support are key in any patient experience. The Prostate Practice has been set up to help patients from the very start with getting their diagnosis to dealing and treating any outcomes.
Common urinary symptoms of prostate problems:
- Needing to urinate more often, especially at night
- Urgently needing to urinate
- Finding it hard to start or stop
- Having a weak flow
- Feeling you have not emptied your bladder
Many of these symptoms are simply part of the aging process and can be nothing serious, but it’s important to get things checked straightaway. If there is something wrong early diagnosis and treatment is key.
