Testimonials from Spire Gatwick Park patients
I attended the hospital as a day patient and the whole experience was faultless. Without exception, every member of staff I had contact with went out of their way to make my short stay as comfortable as possible. Please pass on my sincere thanks to the entire team for an amazing experience that justifies the cost of private care. Once again, many thanks.

I thought Gatwick Park was amazing. All of the kindness and consideration shown by the staff was wonderful.

Just a quick line to thank your staff at Spire for the efficient and professional service that I experienced for my gastric hernia operation. From registering at reception through to discharge a few hours later every effort was made to make me feel comfortable and reassured.
Obviously I was a little sore for a couple of weeks afterwards but both my GP and Mr Adam Stacey-Clear were very pleased with the repair - and so am I! I hope not to have to come back in a hurry but many thanks once again for making my first excursion into an operating theatre a much calmer experience than I could have imagined.

I have recently undergone surgery at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital where I was admitted for a period of three nights. I am writing this letter to pass on my sincere thanks and gratitude to one particular member of your nursing staff - Maggie Hall. Having returned from surgery to Wakehurst ward Maggie was responsible for my care. Her dedication and professionalism shone through and this was hugely reassuring for my partner, who was, as I am sure you understand, initially concerned about my welfare.
Her experience and knowledge was obvious but what really made Maggie exceptional and stand out was her kind personality and genuine concern she displayed. She could not do enough to help both myself and my partner and always took time to ensure she explained every aspect of my recovery to us.
Maggie is an absolute credit to the nursing profession and in particulare to Spire Gatwick Park Hospital and I am so very grateful to her. I wanted to simply bring this to your attention and ask that you please pass on our utmost gratitude and thanks to her.

I had to have a laparoscopic hiatus hernia repair and fundoplication operation. I had lived for several years with constant acid problems, and was on no end of medication to control it. It became a way of life for me to be careful what I ate in case it upset my stomach. Before the operation I was absolutely petrified not of going under the knife but scared it would not work. At Spire Gatwick Park hospital they made me feel so relaxed and at ease, and Mr Paras Jethwa has turned my life around. Now I don't take any medication and I can eat what I like. I would just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, and anyone nervous about this operation - don't be.

I contracted pancreatitis and as a result required a cholecystectomy. I researched several surgeons who specialise in that field and basedc on his credentials, decided to have a consultation with Mr Paras Jethwa at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital.
I have nothing but praise for Mr Jethwa who, on a number of occassions, patiently explained the procedure to me, answered my numerous questions and re-assured me at every step of the way. His patience and kindness were certainly a factor in my recovery - together with his obvious skill as a top rate surgeon. I am happy to say that my recovery has been a complete sucess and as an added bonus have only the tiniest scar to remind me of my operation.

After suffering for many years I was referred to Miss Nadim. I couldn't have wished for better care and attention both pre & post op. Miss Nadim made me feel listened to and showed great compassion. I didn't feel like 'just a number' and after my operation, which she performed, feel I have been given a new lease of life.

Dear Dr Pandita-Gunawardena,
I am writing on behalf of myself and my brothers to thank you very much for the care with which you have looked after my mother, Mrs K.
Before consulting you, we had become very concerned at her mental and physical detorioration for which there seemed to be no possible improvement. However since you have seen her, changed her medication and recommended occupational and physiotherapy, she has improved significantly for the better - she is mentally much more alert and physically more mobile.
It is both surprising and heartening that all is not lost - even at 89 years old.
Thank you again
Yours Sincerley

I very much wish to praise the quality and friendliness of service provided by Mr Jethwa, all of the medical and ancillary staff operating at the Spire Gatwick Park Hospital.
The procedure itself was totally painless as was my recovery, which I have to assume was due to the quality of the surgery performed. Within two days of surgery I found that I had no need to use any penicillin.
Following this procedure my quality of life is greatly improved & I only wish that I had enquired about surgery some years ago.

'I can only say my procedure was a positive, from beginning to end.
I went to see Mr Dheansa regarding a breast reduction, he advised what would be done during the operation to acheive this. I then had to go away and think hard if this is what I wanted and to ring for another appointment if I wished to go ahead, bringing with me a list of all the questions that I needed to ask.
At the second appointment, and after answering my many questions, the date was set.
I settled into my private room at 4pm, and by 5pm I was down in the operating room. On surfacing from the anaesthetic back in my room, I was very comfortable, the nursing staff were on hand if I needed anything. Mr Dheansa appeared at 7.30am to see me. I hadnt looked at my breast's, thinking they would be bandaged up, but no, all there was, was tape around the wounds. I was discharged from hospital that same morning, and went back to work 2 weeks later. I then had 4 post op appointments with Mr Dheansa to make sure I was ok.
There are pale signs of the operation now, but they will fade further, I am very happy with the size and shape of my breast's.
Mr Dheansa took all his appointments, he did the operation, he took all the post op appointments. He listens, he understands, he is there for his patients.
Thank you Mr Dheansa'

I came to Spire Gatwick Park Hospital to have a cyst removed. I went to see Mr Michael Lavelle, he made me feel a lot calmer and within the hour I had the cyst removed. I cannot thank him enough for his expertise and down to earth attitude - I can understand why a lot of people opt for private treatment.
Once again thank you all at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital for looking after me on my visit.
