Dr Martin Thomas is a consultant cardiologist at the Heart Hospital, University College London. He qualified from the University of Southampton, School of Medicine in 1992 and completed his postgraduate specialist training in cardiology at the Sussex Cardiac Centre, Brighton and St. George's Hospital, London.
Dr Thomas was awarded a MD degree from Imperial College, London after completing his thesis on the clinical problem of heart failure with preserved systolic function. Dr Thomas has published many papers in the field of heart failure. He is a certified cardiac device specialist of the Heart Rhythm Society, USA.
Dr Martin Thomas undertook a one-year senior fellowship in the advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation service at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia.
Dr Thomas is trained in all aspects of general cardiology but he has specialist interest in the management of heart failure and device therapy, including pacemaker, cardiac resynchronisation and defibrillator implantation.
Dr Martin Thomas will be available to see referrals for general cardiology, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias and device implantation.
