Dear Spire, please can you provide me information for a Brain MRI, including pre meetings and results, would I need a referral letter from my GP and how quickly could it take place and when the results would be available? Thanks. Andy, Horley.
Dear Andy, at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital we have a static MRI scanner and this is a very powerful tool for evaluating the brain. We book appointments Monday to Friday 08:30 – 20:00 and Saturday 09:00 – 12:30. A referral from your GP or clinician in required in order to proceed with an MRI scan.
We could perform your scan usually within 2-3 days of receiving your referral and the report would go back to the referring clinician within a week of you being scanned. These figures are used for a general guide as any urgent results are communicated sooner.
Your MRI referral can be posted to us or faxed directly to the imaging department on 01293 822837. The imaging team can be contacted on 01293 778 953 if you have any other questions. Thank you.
