Cervical cancer vaccination service (Gardasil) for Surrey and Sussex

Gardasil is designed to prevent infection of human papilloma virus types 6,11,16,18, which cause 70% of cervical cancers. It is recommended that the vaccine is given prior to sexual activity starting to make it most effective. The vaccine consists of 3 injections over 6 months.

Women between the ages 18 and 26 will be able to utilise the service at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. Dr. Usha Natarajan leads the service and does not require a GP referral.

The cost is £490 for the course of 3 injections.
