Mr Stuart James BSc(Hons), MS, MBBS, FRCS(Eng), FRCS(Plast)
Mr Stuart James is a consultant plastic and cosmetic surgeon at Spire Gatwick Park private hospital in Horley, Surrey offering private appointments to patients in Surrey and Sussex in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
Mr James’s Private Practice is based both in Harley Street and at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. His areas of interest are in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for the breast, face and abdomen, including secondary revision of breast augmentations, treatment of breast asymmetries and fat transfer/liposculpture
Mr Stuart James qualified in 1994 from University College London and commenced surgical training at The Royal Free Hospital. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998, age 28. After a period of full time research in wound healing which led to the award of a Master of Surgery (MS) degree an Arris and Gale Lectureship and College Medal, Mr James moved to six years Higher Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery in London and the South East, with rotations at the St Andrews Unit in Chelmsford (2001-2), St Thomas’ Hospital (2003-4), The Royal Marsden Hospital (2005) and The Craniofacial Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (2006).
Having developed an interest in microsurgical reconstruction, he was selected for a one year Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, ranked by US News as the 1st Hospital for Cancer Care in the US.
On return to the UK in 2007, Mr James was appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon to The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, where he is Royal College of Surgeons of England Surgical Tutor. He has recently been selected for the Tatler Magazine Doctors Guide 2013.
