Mr James Penny is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologistat Spire Gatwick Park private hospital in Horley, Surrey offering private appointments to patients in Surrey and Sussex in our clean and comfortable private hospital.

Mr Penny was appointed as a consultant in 2001 to Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. He qualified from St George's Hospital in London and trained at Queen Charlotte and St Mary's Hospital in obstetrics and gynaecology. He also spent 12 months in higher training in Cape Town, South Africa.

He is lead clinician for obstetrics and gynaecology at East Surrey and Crawley Hospitals. His special clinical interest is in the diagnosis and management of pelvic pain. He has established specialist clinics for pelvic pain and for the management of women with vulval disease. He is active in promoting new treatments for women with vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence and has introduced new techniques into clinical practice at the hospital.

Mr Penny constantly updates his skills and knowledge base by maintaining research reading, attending conferences and discussing cases with colleagues. He works closely with other medical and non medical health professionals so that all problems are addressed in a confidential and timely way.
