I trained in respiratory medicine at teaching hospitals in the South Thames region (St Thomas, Guy's and Kings College Hospital in London). I also trained at a specialist tertiary referral cardio-thoracic hospital (Papworth in Cambridge) and have retained links with these centres of excellence.
