Michelle qualified with a Diploma in nursing studies from The University of Surrey in 1997. From here she took her first nursing post as a gynaecology nurse at St. Richards Hospital in Chichester where she stayed for five years. She went on to gain further experience in other nursing areas working in A&E and for NHS Direct before her heart took her back to her gynaecology roots and she became Fertility Nurse Specialist for Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust working with Dr Youssef at Crawley Hospital from 2006 - 2008.

Michelle is passionate about working with couples to help them achieve their goals.
In 2008 Michelle joined Spire Healthcare to help set up a new fertility service with Dr Youssef. The clinic is a satellite service to London Fertility Centre, Harley Street, London, part of Spire Fertility offering all ranges of treatment from clomid therapy to much more complex assisted reproduction techniques.
In addition, Michelle also works for Harmoni West Sussex as a nurse advisor for the GP out of hour service, giving her knowledge and experience working with other local services.
Michelle’s experiences within the NHS helps her to understand the complexities and frustrations for couples seeking fertility treatments on the NHS. She believes communication, support and good organisational skills lead to the success of the service and the satisfaction of the patients.
Michelle feels there are always potential questions that arise after any consultation and it is her job to spend time with couples ensuring they fully understand the treatment pathway they are taking and ensuring that all needs are met, not just clinically but emotionally.
On a personal note Michelle enjoys to travel, with cruising being her passion. She has cruised to Iceland, Alaska and The Panama Canal to name a few. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and her three godchildren. She also takes pleasure in unwinding by going to the theatre, dining out, and swimming. Michelle's motto is work hard.... holiday hard!
