Children’s services at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital

At Spire Gatwick Park Hospital we provide specialist advice, diagnosis and treatment for children aged 3 to 16 years old, led by experienced paediatric consultants.

We offer a wide range of procedures for children aged 3 and over

The service offers a wide range of treatments and operations – all available in the comfort of a local, clean, private hospital environment.

Every child will be seen by a paediatric specialist consultant within the chosen area of speciality - whether it be ENT, general surgery, orthopaedics, general paediatrics or urology.

We know that when children need to come in to hospital, it can be an anxious time for the whole family – that’s why we offer children and their families an opportunity to visit the hospital prior to admission, become familiar with the surroundings and meet the experts who will be involved in their care.

When a child comes to the hospital for a surgical procedure, they will stay in a private en-suite room, with a TV. The rooms are large enough to accommodate a parent, wishing to stay overnight.

"We were referred to Gatwick Park Hospital when we were advised our 6 week old daughter had a heart murmur and possible cataract.

After consultation Dr Majeed Jawad advised us he was sure it was an innocent heart murmur but offered to give Poppy an echocardiogram at East Surrey Hospital after his shift finished at Gatwick Park, although he assured us there was no immediate rush for it but I think he knew it would put our minds at rest if he did it the same day.

He must see hundreds of patients every month, however, it seemed like he had all the time we needed and explained everything in words we would understand!

Dr Jawad also made time to talk to our 4 year old son and make him feel involved too. He is one of the nicest doctors we have ever come across, he was friendly, funny and very professional. We were blessed to have him look after our daughter, thank you very much!"
