Mr Malik has a broad experience of managing common ENT problems in adults and children. He graduated from Lucknow University in India and completed a master’s in ENT. He was awarded the best candidate award. He then undertook a further three years training as a senior registrar in Otology and skull base surgery. He immigrated to the UK in 2003 and completed the UK ENT training in North West England and Cambridge. He was awarded ‘Completion Certificate of Training’ by the UK Joint Committee on Higher Surgical Training and is on the GMC Specialist Register.
Mr Malik was also awarded the TWJ visiting fellowship, Ethicon visiting fellowship, Karl Storz skull base fellowship & Kenneth Bloor travelling fellowship for further training at the Toronto University Hospitals and Causse Ear Clinic in France.
Mr Malik has a special interest in managing ear conditions including hearing and balance problems, tinnitus, chronic discharging ears including cholesteatoma and ear drum perforation. He also has a special interest in children’s ear nose & throat problems. In addition to general ENT surgeries, Mr Malik undertakes a wide range of ear surgeries including mastoidectomies, ossiculoplasties, stapedectomy, surgery for Meniere’s disease, bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA) and cosmetic ear surgery.
Mr Malik takes time to explain things properly to his patients and answers all their queries and concerns. He works closely with the patients to formulate a personalised treatment plan. He strongly believes and always aims to provide safe and high quality patient care. He was nominated by the patients for the 'Blackpool Gazette's patients awards' in 2015 and was awarded a 'Bronze Badge' and title of 'Quality Champion' at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust in 2013.
Mr Malik has a particular interest in medical education. He teaches and trains medical students as well as postgraduates. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Edge Hill University.
Mr Malik sees private patients at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital and has clinics on Tuesday mornings and Thursday evenings . Apart from these he is happy to see private patients by arrangements and also patients without a GP reference.
