I have obtained higher surgical training in orthopaedics at Newcastle rotation. My spinal training was obtained in Newcastle and Sunderland. I was a National Spinal Fellow at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesborough, where I was trained in orthopaedic and neurosurgical aspects of spinal surgery. I obtained further spinal training as a Spinal Fellow at Hope Hospital, Manchester and I was AO International Fellow at the Spinal Education and Research Center, Denver, USA. I accept referrals for various disorders of spines, knee, hip and forefoot disorders and this reflects my clinical practice at Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals. My research is focussed on outcome measures and various treatment methods for lumbar spine disease and I was awarded Best paper at the British Scoliosis Society in 2003.
