Background Information 
Professional profile:
I qualified from the University of Bombay (India) and did my oncology training in India's largest cancer hospital, Tata Memorial Hospital, Bombay, where, I was appointed as a consultant oncologist in 1989.
I decided to move to the UK in 1992 and joined Europe's largest cancer centre, Christie Hospital, Manchester, where I consolidated my oncological experience.
I was appointed as a consultant oncologist in 1996 at the newly established cancer centre in Preston. Since starting my oncology practise, I am involved in national and international clinical trials and have produced significant publications. I have a keen interest in teaching and currently I am an educational supervisor and college tutor for oncology.
Personal profile:
I am married with one daughter.
Like all Indians, I love cricket but also enjoy badminton and swimming.
My greatest weakness is good food!
