Spire Fylde Coast Hospital Matron awarded Heart of Gold

February 2011

Every year Blackpool’s radio station, Radio Wave recognises everyday heroes in the community. This is a chance to celebrate, pay tribute and thank those people who support their local community.

2010’s awards Ceremony was on held on Thursday 25 November 2010 at The Hilton Hotel Blackpool and Spire Fylde Coast Hospital was delighted for their Matron of 4 years, Carol Aucott to win the prestigious Heart of Gold Award.

Mr Chris Chadwick, the hospital's director said how proud the hospital was of Matron:

"Carol Aucott, is renowned for her caring, considerate and helpful attitude to everyone she meets, whether it is within the hospital or the local community. She is a kind hearted individual, who will always go the extra mile to help anyone if she possibly can and truly deserved the public recognition of having a ‘heart of gold’."
