Mr Paterson does not fit the mould of most Consultant Plastic Surgeons. Starting life in the Royal Navy, Mr Paterson left to study medicine at a top London Teaching Hospital. Fascinated by the demands of cosmetic surgery Mr Paterson attended Harley Street in London and worked with some of London’s busiest surgeons. Born in the North West it was inevitable that he would become a Consultant in Plastic Surgery at the Royal Preston Hospital. Such was the demands of private practice that Mr Paterson left the National Health Service to concentrate on providing a quality service to patients of the North West/Fylde Coast. Mr Paterson has refined day case surgery using local anaesthesia to provide facelifts and breast augmentations for those who fear going to sleep. In the last year he has performed in excess of 80 facelifts and 20 breast augmentations using this technique. Published in a number of cosmetic magazines and interviewed on local radio Mr Paterson takes pride in engaging his clients in all stages of their surgical journey.
After 20 years of marriage and 4 children Mr Paterson still finds time to challenge himself. A newly qualified helicopter pilot, Mr Paterson finds being 1000ft above the ground the ideal place to relax and gain a new perspective on his local geography. Keen on walking the family are often found stumbling across the Trough of Bowland (dad is the one at the back!). Family holidays are all about relaxation centred around a pool with a good book!
