Nihal Gurusinghe trained in London at The Atkinson Morley’s Hospital, The National Hospital for Nervous Diseases and The Great Ormond Street Hospitals. He was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 1985. Aside from his extensive clinic experience he is also closely involved in the activities of the British Neurological Surgeons and served as Honorary Secretary from 2000 – 2004. Mr Gurusinghe is a member of the Council of the Society and is the NICE co-ordinator for the Society. He is also the joint Royal College Representative on the Specialist Advisory Committee in Neurosurgery for Surgical Training at The Royal College of Surgeons, London.
Nihal Gurusinghe is a keen lover of cricket and plays for the village club in the summer. He is also the President of the Whittingham and Goosnargh Cricket Club.
