Mr Dunkow originally grew up on the Fylde Coast. He studied at Manchester Medical School where he underwent his undergraduate and post-graduate training. He carried out his orthopaedic training as a registrar at the Manchester Teaching Hospital and hospitals around the North West. He has trained specifically doing a fellowship in knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and also hip replacement surgery. It gives him great pleasure to return to the Fylde Coast where he has a position as an orthopaedic consultant at the Victoria Hospital, Blackpool. Mr Dunkow's current practice encompasses all aspects of surgery of the knee, including knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and cruciate ligament reconstruction. He also performs conventional hip replacement surgery.  Mr Dunkow is always happy to give advice and discuss cases.

Mr Dunkow is a keen sportsman, including playing squash and badminton. He and his wife, who is a general practitioner, enjoy travelling and jazz and classical concerts. They also enjoy fell walking in the Lake District and Scotland. They have two beautiful young daughters, Anna and Penelope.
