Professional profile:
I have been in consultant practice since 1988 in Blackpool.

I developed an interest in chest radiology at Brompton Hospital and I have continued to develop this, serving the regional thoracic surgery unit here.

I am currently Clinical Director of Radiology at Victoria Hospital, Blackpool. Prior to this I was secretary of the Medical Staff Committee and Member of the Local Research Ethics Committee. I have also served as vice chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at BUPA Fylde Coast Hospital. I am a guest lecturer at the University College of St Martins in Lancaster.

An early interest in musculoskeletal radiology has grown steadily as I have developed the local use of high resolution musculoskeletal ultrasound and CT/MRI arthrography.
Personal profile:
I have four children, now young adults.

I enjoy outdoor sports and activities, especially skiing, fell walking (in all weather!) and cycling and I have tried paragliding.
