Dr Ahmed is a Consultant Physician and Nephrologist in the Renal Department at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Morecambe Bay University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.Dr Aimun Ahmed trained in Sheffield, Leicester and Hull. His subspecial interest is in Kidney Transplantation and Chronic Kidney Disease. He did research on progression of Chronic Kidney disease at the University of Sheffield, which led to the award of an MD degree from the University of Sheffield in 2008.Dr Ahmed has published and co-authored many papers and articles in most of the nephrology journals and book chapters. He also serves as a peer reviewer for many international nephrology journals, he has also been an invited speaker in international conferences and courses.
