Mr Sturdee offers a comprehensive foot and ankle service including all operative and non operative treatments. He has received training in foot and ankle surgery in Leeds, Bradford and Wirral University Teaching Hospital. He works closely with Chris Parrish, Orthopaedic Podiatrist at Elland hospital as well as the physiotherapists at Spire Elland so that all non operative treatments can be tried before considering surgery. He is recognised by all the major insurance companies and for self funding patients a package price for treatment can be provided on request. He is director of The West Yorkshire Foot and Ankle Clinic and a webiste is currently under construction.Extracoporeal shock wave therapy (eSWT) is now available at Spire Elland Hospital under the care of Mr Sturdee for treatment of plantar fasciitis and is approved by NICE and the major insurance companies.

Mr Sturdee qualified from Leeds University medical school in 1996 and did his basic surgical training in Yorkshire. He was appointed as a Specialist registrar in Orthopaedics in 2001 and rotated through several hospitals in West and North Yorkshire. Fellowship training was undertaken in Harrogate and Wirral University Teaching Hospitals and he completed his training in September 2007 and has been on the GMC specialist register for Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery since this date. He started his NHS Consultant post at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust in April 2008 and has a general trauma practice and his elective practice is exclusively foot and ankle surgery and its associated conditions. He teaches on many regional and national courses and is involved in the training of trainee doctors in the NHS trust and in the Yorkshire region. He is actively involved in audit and research as part of clinical governance within the trust and has several publications in the medical literature.
Mr Sturdee lives locally in Calderdale and is married with two young children. He enjoys golf, walking, skiing, fine wines and traveling and is a member of Halifax 14 Round Table which raises money for local charities in the Calderdale region.
