Background Information 
Professional profile:

I was born in Nottinghamshire and qualified from Manchester University in 1990. After basic surgical training, a year of anaesthetics and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene I worked for 2 years in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa in Primary Care, followed by trauma surgery. This was followed by 8 months of nursing an old 4 wheel drive up and down east and southern Africa. My Higher Orthopaedic training was on the Yorkshire Rotation followed by 2 Fellowships in Lower Limb Arthroplasty in Leeds and York. I started as a Consultant in Calderdale and Huddersfield in June 2008.

Apart from general trauma commitments, including periprosthetic fractures, my sub-specialty interest is in primary hip and knee arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy and revision hip surgery.

Personal profile:
I enjoy several sports, including golf, cricket, tennis and skiing. However my free time left to participate is challenged somewhat by 3 children under 7 !!
