    Professional profile:
    I trained in General Paediatrics and have a special interest in Neonatology. Since working as a consultant, at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, I have developed a further special interest in Paediatric Nephrology, seeing many of the children with complex renal conditions. I periodically share a clinic with the Paediatric Nephrologists from St James's in Leeds, and have a close working relationship with them. I am part of the recently formed Nephrology Interest Group with other Paediatricians in the region. In addition to my clinical commitments I am an instructor the for Neonatal life support course. I also share the role of Royal College Tutor with my colleague and am involved with the training, mentoring and appraisal of junior doctors as well as induction of new doctors. I represent the Huddersfield clinicians at the Children's Directorate and am a member of the Yorkshire Neonatal Forum. I am also a part of the regional Paediatricians developing a new teaching programme for the new specialist trainees The Yorkshire School of Paediatrics. I have recently completed the in-house Consultant Leadership Development Course, and will be taking a course later this year in investigation skills.
